A brilliant podcast and host, every edition of this somehow resonates with me – the guests are always honest and open about the realities and challenges within the industry. Katy seems to bring the best out of everyone and it's a real joy to listen to.

This is the definitive podcast on the creative industry. Katy Cowan is a fantastic host and interviewer. She interviews a wide spectrum of creatives from illustrators to designers to entrepreneurs. It's a great podcast that unearths the highs and lows of being a creative. The new short-form podcast, The Spark, is also a great addition with snackable, bitesize news updates on the creative industry.

I love this podcast. It's filled with creative experts talking about their experiences in the funniest, most down-to-earth way. Instead of the serious and boring industry podcasts, this show teaches you stuff and gives you a belly laugh at the same time. There's also some welcome swearing and references to '90s culture that doesn't happen enough.

This riveting conversation rattles between our predisposition for pessimism over optimism, how to edit your life, the dysfunction of nostalgia, the iniquity of social media, the gritty interactions of therapy, the ultimate emptiness of video games, the duration of orgasms, the delusions of drugs, the limitations of meditation, the dynamics of relationships, the joys of schadenfreude, the ubiquity of LIKES, the ambiguity of beauty, and why chasing after happiness makes us miserable.

Hands down one of the best podcasts to listen to while working on deadlines! Straight down-to-earth talks from real people, accompanied by the host’s calming voice.

What I love most about Creative Boom is the curation of guests outside the usual suspects of design luminaries that make the rounds on every other podcast repeating the same stories over and over. I listen because Katy Cowan delivers conversational style interviews with true empathy and spotlights creatives on varying trajectories of their careers. The stories outside the US are most compelling and to spotlight smaller studios is a real benefit to me and other colleagues who aren't motivated by bigger, better, faster. Stories at a relatable scale from subject matter that is a bit more open and honest about their paths and the rollercoaster that is running a smaller studio is why I love and tune into Creative Boom.

It’s rare to hear something that makes you punch the air, but this latest episode with Kwame Taylor-Hayford is among Creative Boom’s very best. I admire Katy for her drive and her talent in getting people to truly open up. Creative Boom lets you not only learn about your heroes but also discover the lesser knowns, and the newest emerging talents. There are other podcasts I respect and enjoy, but it’s the heartfelt, thoughtful insight into people’s lives that Katy brings us that resonates most with me. Few podcasts on creativity manage this with such consistency. Thank you, Katy, and thank you, Creative Boom.

Where do I begin? This podcast is a breath of fresh air! Having listened to many of these episodes, I appreciate how Katy makes her guests feel comfortable and ready for an honest conversation. The chemistry between Katy and her guests is natural and this is made possible by the research that Katy has done on them beforehand. This podcast has all-around good vibes and is definitely worth a listen!!!
